GUCCI DEBUTS FIRST VIRTUAL REALITY FILM,
INSPIRED BY ALESSANDRO MICHELE’S

PRE-FALL 2017 COLLECTION

On April 27, Gucci debuted its first virtual reality film, entitled ‘Soul Scene”, at a celebration hosted together with i-D magazine at the Mildmay Club in Stoke Newington, London, where guests were provided with specially designed Samsung headsets.

Offering a mesmerising perspective from the center of the dance floor the VR film, inspired by Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s Pre-Fall 2017 collection, also reveals an interactive 360° point-of-view. With vibrant color and spirited dance moves, the spellbinding continuous shot follows the dancers from when they enter the club and was captured by director Glen Luchford with art direction by Chris Simmonds.

From today the 360°film is available for viewing on the https://www.gucci.com/us/en/#video-hero homepage—where the VR version of the film can be watched in mobile view—and on the Gucci App, which also features a VR experience. The 360°film will be posted organically and promoted in 17 countries on Facebook.
