Numéro Thailand: As March marks the beginning of spring, if you were to compare yourself to a flower or a particular moment within this season, what would it be and why?
Khun Janejira Phornprapha: For me, spring is not only about new beginnings; it is also a time when we take experiences from past seasons and transform them into something more grounded and defined. If I were to compare myself to a flower, I would choose the camellia. Its structured form and layered petals remind me of the experiences and lessons gradually accumulated throughout life, built layer by layer over time. The camellia is not a flower that seeks attention, but one that reflects stability and quiet confidence, which I believe is essential in both life and work.
It is well known that you pay close attention to details in dressing. For this season, are there any particular fabrics, color palettes, or silhouettes that you favor?
I tend to dress in a way that feels true to myself, choosing pieces that suit my personality and skin tone, which gives me confidence. I am naturally drawn to classic elements in terms of design, silhouette, and tailoring, as they are timeless and can be worn across seasons.
I also place great importance on fabric and structure. Well-structured garments create a strong and defined look without requiring much effort. In terms of color, I gravitate towards bold primary tones or deeper shades, as I feel they complement me well. For me, a beautiful outfit does not need to follow seasonal trends, but rather reflect one’s identity.
What kind of style do you feel suits you best, and which fashion brands resonate with you?
I believe my style leans towards structured pieces with distinctive design, something that stands out without being loud, yet remains clearly defined. The brands I admire include ALAÏA, Maticevski, Dries Van Noten, Yohji Yamamoto, and Biyan, as each possesses a strong design language and a unique identity. For bags, I favor Chanel and The Row, as they offer classic designs with clear structure and lasting appeal, making them versatile across different looks.
Could you share more about your lifestyle, both in terms of work and how you spend your time meaningfully?
At different stages of life, we prioritize different things, and that shapes how we balance work and personal time. When I was younger, I dedicated much of my time to work, exploring and learning through trial and error. At this stage of my life, however, I value time more deeply and choose to spend it with the people who matter, especially friends and family. I make an effort to travel with my parents, as I want to cherish these moments with them.
Another meaningful aspect of my life is contributing to the younger generation. I currently teach finance at Thammasat University, and I find students to be incredibly eager and inspiring. Teaching has become a fulfilling and enjoyable part of my life.
How do you feel about collaborating with Numéro Thailand, especially seeing your identity so clearly conveyed through the images?
It was a wonderful experience, and I’m truly happy to have worked with Numéro Thailand. The team is lovely, and I’ve had the chance to collaborate with them several times before, each time, I’ve felt their dedication.
I was particularly drawn to the concept from the very beginning. It reflects a woman who is self-assured and clearly defined in her identity, which resonates closely with who I am. Being involved in selecting the outfits and details made the shoot feel like a true collaboration, allowing my personality to be authentically expressed through the images.
In a world where fashion trends change rapidly, how do you maintain your personal identity and timeless elegance?
I believe personal identity comes from understanding what truly suits you and choosing what you genuinely like, rather than following trends. Fashion is ever-changing, but style endures. Beyond clothing, the right accessories can enhance and define a look, making it more personal. For me, a good look does not have to be extravagant, it should feel authentic and effortless. I think one’s style becomes clearer over time, as we gain more life experience and understand ourselves better. That understanding allows us to maintain our identity, regardless of how fashion evolves.
Are there any goals, ideas, or upcoming projects you would like our readers to look forward to?
My work typically focuses on capital raising and M&A. However, this year I am working on a project that is quite different, developing a tennis facility that integrates both community and lifestyle elements within the same space. What interests me most about this project is that it goes beyond sport complex; it creates a place where people can spend time, engage in activities, and connect with one another. For me, exploring something new is both challenging and rewarding, as it allows continuous learning and growth, which is essential to keep moving forward.
