BALENCIAGA SPRING 22 CAMPAIGN




The campaign for Balenciaga’s Spring 22 collection presents looks debuted during the season’s virtual runway show, including pieces from The Hacker Project, which interprets Gucci signatures as Balenciaga products; “Balenciaga Crocs 2.0”, which continues a collaboration in the form of several new styles such as Crocs Madame and Crocs Boot; and the Balenciaga Runner Sneaker.

In photographs by Andrea Artemisio, new ready-to-wear, jewelry, bags, and shoes are worn with cybernetic face coverings created by artist Ikeuchi Hiroto. In one image, a model wears an exoskeleton suit designed by the artist in collaboration with robot manufacturer Skeletonics over a Spring 22 look. This suit will be put on display at the reopened Balenciaga Tokyo Flagship in Aoyama. Other pieces from the campaign will be displayed at other Balenciaga stores throughout Japan and at Balenciaga Paris - Montaigne.

The Spring 22 campaign video, directed by Yilmaz Sen, sees the collection worn in and out of impossibly interconnected rooms, the windows of which allow views of sparkling metropolises, remote settings, natural wonders, and supernatural escapes. The video ends with a slogan that sums up the collection’s themes of authenticity and omnipresence: “HERE IS ANYWHERE.”
