Trophée Chopard 2021

Jessica Chastain presents Jessie Buckley and Kingsley Ben-Adir with their awards

Cannes, 9 July 2021 – The Trophée Chopard Committee has chosen to honour actress Jessie Buckley and actor Kingsley Ben-Adir for the 20th edition of this award, which annually recognises two rising stars in international cinema. Actress Jessica Chastain, illustrious godmother of the Trophée Chopard 2021, presented the two winners with their awards during an official dinner held at the Majestic Hotel and at the invitation of Pierre Lescure (President of the Cannes Film Festival), Thierry Frémaux (General Delegate) and Caroline Scheufele (Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director). Currently filming, the actress accepted her award remotely.

The evening ended with a swinging musical performance by French artist Clara Luciani, singing Nue, Le Reste, Respire et La Grenade.

Guests present included members of the jury Spike Lee, Mylène Farmer, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Mélanie Laurent, Tahar Rahim, Song Kang-Ho, Elsa Zylberstein (Un certain regard jury), French minister of culture Roselyne Bachelot, as well as Audrey Azoulay, Irène Jacob, Aïssa Maïga, Adrian Brody, Paz Vega, Dorra Zarrouk, Joséphine Japy, Benoît Magimel, Nicolas Maury, Zita Hanrot, Haley Lu Richardson, Nelly Auteuil, Daphne Patakia, Miyi Huang, Kogomada, Irène Jacob and Dadju.
