The outside of the bag displays a sophisticated colour-block effect. On the inside a surprising feature waits to be discovered. Opening the bag and the two side zips, the gusseted pocket reveals a series of multicolour compartments that pay homage to the legendary Rainbow sandal made by Salvatore Ferragamo in 1938 for Judy Garland, an example of the brand’s creative use of colour that remains one of its most defining features today.

The complex construction of Sofia Rainbow makes it a real masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship. The embossed border, which is like a frame to the bag, outlines its profiles and runs from the flap to the back and to the bottom in one single piece. The numerous external and internal profiles of the gusseted pockets, carefully painted in the colour of the bag, are a further reflection of great manual skill. Sofia Rainbow is a bag of clean design, which requires a very elaborate production. Another noteworthy detail is the lining.
