Diner 'Chopard Loves Cinema'

A prestigious evening honouring the 25-year partnership between Chopard and the Cannes Film Festival and to unveil the Red Carpet Collection inspired by movie masterpieces

Thursday 26 May 2022 - Caroline Scheufele held a majestic dinner last evening at the Hôtel Martinez to celebrate the 25 years of official partnership between Chopard and the Cannes Film Festival. In tribute to the indestructible ties between the Maison and the seventh art, 'Chopard Loves Cinema' is the theme of the Red Carpet Collection: 75 Haute Joaillerie creations freely inspired by the cinematic repertoire of Chopard's Co-President and Artistic Director, unveiled on the occasion of this event. Held in a splendid film studio setting, the dinner ended with an exclusive concert by Seal and a special performance by burlesque artist Dita von Teese.

Echoing the theme of the Red Carpet Collection, the décor for the dinner invited attendees, including Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard, Eva Longoria, Emmanuelle Béart, Charlbi Dean, Camille Razat, Mads Mikkelsen, Michele Morrone, Bella Hadid, Emma Thynn Marchioness of Bath and Maye Musk, to take a journey through the grand history of cinema since its beginnings in black and white.

The 75 creations of the Red Carpet Collection stemming from the jewellery expertise of Chopard's workshops were revealed during a stunning fashion show in which the brilliance of the precious stones matched the elegance of the dresses loaned by Elie Saab.

The evening was also animated by a breathtaking dance show to the sounds of musical comedies.

Known for her legendary evenings studding the Cannes fortnight every year, on this occasion, Caroline Scheufele asked Seal to give an exclusive concert that included his greatest hits: Killer, Love’s Devine, Stand by Me, and naturally Kiss from a Rose, Crazy and Knock on Wood.

At the end of the performance, which received a storm of applause from the audience, a huge birthday cake was presented to Caroline Scheufele and her guests in tribute to the 25th anniversary of Chopard's partnership with the Festival. This was topped by the legendary figure of Dita von Teese, who gave a burlesque performance much appreciated by the audience.

DJ Cassidy then took over on the turntables, keeping guests dancing until the early hours of the morning during the after-party of an evening that will go down in the annals of the Cannes Film Festival.
