FENDI First, star of the Women's Autumn/Winter 2021 runway, hits the stores with new, eye-catching designs. The strong attitude of the signature shape with its macro inverted F closure gets a makeover for the Autumn/Winter 2022 season with fresh colours and new textures, disclosing the excellence of the Maison's savoir-faire in fur and leather goods whilst creating a bold look.

While maintaining the powerful codes of the FENDI First, the texture of the bag becomes soft and fluffy. Fur, a founding element of FENDI DNA, enlivens the FENDI First bag whilst paying homage to the Maison's heritage and creativity. Patches of upcycled fox fur transform the silhouette in a cosy statement, while the F closure acquires the same hues of the body.

Following the Maison's increasing commitment towards environmental-friendly processes, the new versions of the FENDI First bag mark a renewed attention towards sustainability and circularity. In fact, the fox fur implied in its creation comes from bits and pieces of fur that were discarded from other processes. With a more attentive approach to design, in line with the principles of sustainability, the scraps are sewn together using fur stitches, thus creating a patchwork fur fabric as the seams are unnoticeable. This circular approach pays homage to the finest quality fur, FENDI’s quintessential element, giving new life to the unused parts of this exquisite and noble material, resulting in a bag with a confident attitude.

The fresh, dazzling hues, together with the combination of different textures and the statement of fox fur perfectly embody the fun attitude that characterises FENDI. The tones are vitaminic: bright colours acquire the soft shades of fur with its characteristic nuances are paired with tonal shiny nappa leather and gold metal hardware. Declined in three, lively colours, the FENDI First takes up her own space. Bright poppy red with an orange undertone, delicate blush pink and pastel mint green enliven the supple preciousness of fur.

The FENDI First bag in upcycled fox fur will be available in FENDI boutiques worldwide and on fendi.com from July 2022.
