As successful partners for more than 40 years, HUBLOT and The Hour Glass have teamed up once more to introduce a special edition fusing the character of natural stone dials with HUBLOT’s signature Classic Fusion collection.

For this time, HUBLOT keeps on the concept of new experimental way to select five natural elements to express the edition in a vibrant magnificent and touchful way of work from its cornerstone of developmental philosophy - the 'Art of Fusion' by adornment with Tiger's Eye, Red Jasper, Malachite, Turquoise and Lapis Lazuli, that make these new Classic Fusion models, a very elegantly exclusive collection especially for The Hour Glass, showcasing the beauty of the selected natural elements. This proves to be, once more, the new admiring way of work that emphasizes that HUBLOT never stop to master new materials into work, and keeps on expanding the unique ideas and creativity.

In 1980, HUBLOT was the first watchmaking brand to introduce a gold watch with a rubber strap. Such a fusion was firstly introduced by HUBLOT into the watch industry, and created a significant motto that would erupt into a Big Bang 25 years later. The 'Art of Fusion' has been a cornerstone of the Swiss watchmaker since then. By combining traditional watchmaking savoir-faire, cutting-edge technologies, and unexpected materials, HUBLOT's creations have continuously pushed the boundaries of contemporary watchmaking. This is indeed made HUBLOT the classic icon of Swiss watch.

The Classic Fusion collection also reinterprets HUBLOT's ground-breaking original 1980 timepiece by combining precious and modern materials on very impressive eye-catching, right at first glance and immediately well recognizable. The design is inspired by a ship's porthole by the meaning of "hublot" in French. Due to the simple and streamlined design, Classic Fusion collection has indeed reflected the uniqueness of HUBLOT, a minimalist design watch, that is very perfect for every occasion. This Classic fusion 42mm Elements is available in a wide variety of movements, designs, materials and colours. The Classic Fusion which is named, shows the inspiration to make the watch that be able to reach all who love classic and minimal practical design. Each iteration of this much-loved collection, has indeed, injected the DNA of the 1980 original timepiece, with a new interpretation of the 'Art of Fusion' philosophy.

In 2022, HUBLOT continues its exploration of innovative materials with the Classic Fusion 42mm Elements special edition for The Hour Glass. In the spirit of the 'Art of Fusion', five dial variations have been carved from vibrant minerals: Tiger's Eye, Red Jasper, Malachite, Turquoise and Lapis Lazuli. Housed within satin-finished and polished titanium cases with polished King Gold crowns and bezel lugs, the stone dials reveal their natural beauty and character that show intensity of all elements of this collection, and look very impressive.

Each dial's radiance is further amplified by the inclusion of polished King Gold H-shaped bezel screws and polished gold-plated hour, minute, and seconds hands. Faithful to the 'Art of Fusion', Hublot demonstrates once again its mastery in combining natural and high technology materials to realize the outstanding collection of one best Swiss watch.

Artisanal neat craftmanship has been utilized in its quest to be different and conquer the different world of best materials, HUBLOT also distinguishes itself through the rare art of crafting stone dials. Sourcing the finest stones represents its first challenge, to next. This special work requires high attention of highly skilled artisans to cut and polish the stones in order to adjust their thickness to the designed size for every angle exposed. Cut from an individual mineral, each dial features a unique pattern and make each watch differentiated in its own beauty and character, that truly magnify each watch differently.

The Classic Fusion 42mm Elements special edition for The Hour Glass is created with the character and intensity of each natural element. The unique properties of Tiger's Eye lie in the yellow, gold and brown striations that mimic the distinctive fur of a tiger. When intricately cut and polished, Tiger's Eye allows for a captivating warm dial, imbued with an earthy character, and make it look so charming on the wrist.

Once famed for its healing properties, Red Jasper is renowned for its lively red shades and continues to be worn as a good luck talisman throughout the world. The vibrant green Malachite was used extensively throughout ancient history for both its ornamental and ceremonial properties. The radiant shades of green giving the sense of a lush, verdant forest. Turquoise derives its name from the Old French "turkeise" meaning "Turkish" as it was the first mineral brought into Europe through Turkey from Middle Eastern mines. The distinct shade of cyan has been incorporated into architectural designs throughout the world to make great beautiful effect and be used in many varieties of adornment.

Lapis Lazuli with its pronounced deep cobalt blue colour, has been used by royalty for ornamental purposes for centuries. When it is polished, the deep-blue speckled metamorphic rock gives the appearance of a shimmering magnificent night sky.

This special edition of 10 watches per dial execution, the Classic Fusion 42mm Elements is powered by the 4Hz self-winding Hublot HUB1100 calibre with 42 hours of power reserve. The movement is visible through the satin-finished titanium case back via an anti-reflective sapphire exhibition window, engraving "SPECIAL EDITION" "XX/10" framing its circumference, to signify its collection. Each watch is released with a black alligator strap with 5N Gold stitching on black rubber, and features a gold-plated stainless steel deployant buckle clasp. The Classic Fusion 42mm Elements special edition for The Hour Glass retails for THB 700,000 or THB 811,000 depending on the dial execution (see below) and is available exclusively at The Hour Glass boutiques in Singapore, Malaysia and PMT The Hour Glass boutiques in Thailand.
