Fall at 3.1 Phillip Lim leans into the multi-dimensionality of our enigmatic modern woman, blurring the lines between casual and formal; the proposal is a wardrobe of spontaneous modularity, a soft authority. There is a fluidity to the collection that creates a purposeful, eclectic wardrobe; one that emulates confidence, softness and functionality. Life is a constant dance, it’s more than just the wave of motions but her ability to move in sync to the rhythm of the moment.

The collection is a playful interaction of function and sensuality, a focus on elements of movement mixed with strong, structured staples. Inspiration from uniform dressing is translated into cropped cadet-style jacket, or a box cut blazer, paired with a choice of pleated culottes, carrot trousers or a generous dickie pant; all elevating the idea of modular tailoring. A nod to dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch is hinted in twisted jersey dresses pulling in tension across the body, wrap jersey t-shirts, crisscross knitted bands and asymmetric, free-form hemlines on body conscious knitwear gesture fluidity and intimacy; all in celebration of expressive movement. Modern utility takes shape in a cloud-like recycled ripstop puffer that floats with ease and an oversized bonded-cotton bi-color trench adds unique dimension to a timeless silhouette.

Dual seasonal prints are introduced, both representing pillars of her evolution. The Graphic Tile print inspired by the work of Cecil Touchon, alludes to ambiguity in structure and disruption of form. Seen in a silk twill blouse and asymmetric-hem shirt dress with convertible necktie collar, a subtle reminder that there is always room for self-expression within house codes. The Lichen bloom print is cut into contemporary soft dressing that embodies free-flowing movement with an intuitive connection to nature.

Knitwear takes on a bold stance with hyper-feminine, flirtatious shapes with intricate details and embellishments. This season's allure is a fresh twist on the classic LBD; a knitted mini bustier dress and banded dancer’s top iteration. Striped sheer rib knits are woven into textured layering dresses, delicate gloves and reversible cut-out tops add a youthful charm.

She champions conscious evolution, a mindful approach to growth is always the natural path forward. There’s continued, steady progress in 3.1 Phillip Lim’s sustainable journey; sourcing elevated materials consciously and always, with the end in mind. Outerwear is mostly recycled fabrics while natural and pure materials shine through in cotton, silk and wool throughout the collection.

The re-invigorated Pashli family of bags continue to grow with the layers of the modern 3.1 woman. The Modern Hobo Pashli is introduced this season with a silhouette that is both graphic yet sensual; here to redefine what functionality looks like. The Pashli Kit case, the ultimate crossbody companion, fits the daily necessities with just enough room a touch of joy. Adorned with split construction detail, triple stitched borders and the signature Pashli lock hardware, the Pashli Duffle in a rich Forrest Green leather completes the family for Fall.

This season's shoe is the Naomi platform boot; a deft balance of structure and slouch in black Nappa leather and a laser-cut python pattern. The “MJ”, a platform Mary Jane, stands out in luxe velvet and wanderlust glitter. Heritage styles such as the Nadia ruched ballerina get a new look in cozy merino shearling and psychedelic micro-suede while the Kate family evolves into a double-buckle platform creeper.

This collection embodies a steadfast pursuit of personal evolution in the face of change, allowing her to hold space confidently knowing that each moment’s beat is one to celebrate.
